About Franki

 

Franki has over 20 years of experience in the world of children with extra needs— non-traditional learning environments, camping and everything in between.    

  

Gifted in working with kids who struggle with age-expected tasks, social difficulties, focus, attention, impulsivity, and managing school, Franki develops a personalized solution for every child.

 

In 2019 Franki founded FAAB Consulting where she specializes in support for children and teens who struggle with behavior, emotional regulation, and learning challenges. Franki consults and trains educators, camp staff, and mental health professionals. Frank is also a published author, her book "I Love My Kids But I Don't Always Like Them" came out in October 2021.  She enjoys writing freelance articles for Metro Parent, American Camp Association Magazine, Autism Parenting Magazine and the FAAB Blog. 

Franki graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Elementary Education, Wayne State University with a M. Ed. in Special Education and University of Kentucky in Clinical Social Work.  

Franki is a certified teacher in the state of Michigan as well as a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker-Clinical. 

 

She lives with her husband Jeff and three children in Metro Detroit.
